Wild Bunch Media launches Women’s Running magazine

Wild Bunch Media has announced the launch of Women’s Running magazine.

The magazine, which launches in December 2009 both in print and online, will be the UK’s first magazine aimed specifically at women runners, and will be edited by former Women’s Fitness Managing Editor Christina Neal.

Neal says: “The running boom of the last decade has been fuelled by hundreds of thousands of women who realise that running is the easiest, quickest and cheapest way of achieving their health and fitness goals. For the first time they will have a brand that speaks directly to them.”

The magazine will have an initial print run of 60,000 copies and will have a cover price of ÂŁ3.50.

Women’s Running is the first launch from Wild Bunch Media, a health and fitness publishing company set up in September 2009 by former NatMag-Rodale Publishing Director Nick Troop and former IPC Circulation Director Kevin McCormick. McCormick says: “The opportunity is there for Women’s Running to be the UK’s biggest magazine for active women, and online to be the number one meeting place for the women’s running community”.

Troop adds: “Women’s Running will deliver inspirational, high-quality, relevant content with a new voice – at last a running magazine written by women for women”.
