We are organising a food lover’s trip to Seville from Wednesday 28th to Friday 30th October 2009 and have a few places left to fill.
The spaces will be commission dependent and we are looking for coverage in national print media or online food pages as a result of the trip so if this is of interest, please don't hesitate to get in touch.
Olives from Spain Press Trip
Wednesday 28th to Friday 30th October 2009
Discover the history, heritage, and distinctive tastes and flavours of the humble Spanish table olive on this press trip to Seville.
With an estimated 300 million olive trees nationwide and a history with the fruit spanning some 6,000 years, Spain is the world’s leading producer of table olives. Left to ripen in the long hot Mediterranean summer, the Spanish olive is renowned for its rich subtle flavours and delicate texture, making it a Mediterranean delicacy which never fails to satisfy the palate.
This trip will take you on a journey of discovery into how this Spanish delicacy is produced and more importantly, how versatile an ingredient it is. Highlights of the trip will include: visiting an olive grove to find out how the fruit is harvested and prepared; lunch and a tasting session with a local olive expert; and of course a chance to sample Spanish olives in all their glory at Abades Triana, a gourmet restaurant with spectacular views of the city.
There will also be ample opportunity to explore and enjoy the delights of Seville, Southern Spain’s cultural capital, with planned activities include a city sights carriage tour and a trip to a local riverside market.
Flights, accommodation, meals and all activities outlined in the itinerary will be provided by Olives from Spain. Spaces are limited, so a reply at your earliest possible convenience would be greatly appreciated.
I hope that this will be of interest, but if you have any more questions or queries, please don’t hesitate to get in touch,
