I just got fired. I was completely and totally blindsided. I loved my job, and the clients were always telling me they were thrilled I was now working there. The teachers were happy I was there as well. The owner said I was too good at my job. She said there were times she would not communicate with me because she felt she could not keep up with me. I ran the [tag]business[/tag] side of a small dance academy, and was slowly putting into place a lot of organization. There were times I just would not hear from her for weeks. I had not even the slightest indication she was not happy with me.I am not sure the staff under me was totally thrilled, though they never said anything to me. The owner always allowed them to speak directly with her about things and I’m guessing they had some issues (mainly because I was now doing the job they used to do before I came, so I didn’t have a lot of work to give them.) Anyway, I feel so humiliated - I think people have been talking about me, etc.How do you cope? I’ve never been fired before. I am 50!
